“Unworthy, incapable, disappointing and different. These were just a few of the labels I wore the day I walked into Dawns office. Rising each morning was difficult, my self-esteem was non-existent and my marriage was in serious danger of becoming the same.
In our counselling sessions, Dawn helped me to identify the reasons I felt the way I did about myself and, over time, provided me with the tools I needed to address my most negative thoughts head on. There were labels that I needed to take off, and some that I needed to accept and wear with pride.
My husband and I also attended couples counselling sessions together to work on our relationship. With absolute impartiality, Dawn mediated and helped us to explore ways in which we could accept our differences while continuing to grow together.
The strategies given to me in my sessions are put to use every day. My marriage continues to gain strength and I am particularly happy to be seen as a little ‘different’. I highly recommend that anyone who has felt the need to read this, take the best step they can take by picking up the phone.”

"Dawn has supported me through a very significant and challenging life journey. The most powerful tool Dawn has shown me during our counselling sessions was how to keep true to myself and how to learn and grow from the situation.
She challenged me when the time was right, and supported and encouraged when the tears were flowing, always keeping me true to who I am.
I have learnt the ability to trust in myself and to understand my inner voice in a way I never knew how to before. I would not be the person I am today if it had not been for this very special relationship that you can only form with the trust and support of a counsellor such as Dawn.”

“The counselling support that you gave me helped me deal with personal and professional issues that were engulfing my life and sapping my energy. You enabled me to gain new perspectives about what was happening in my life and helped me get my feet back on the ground.
With your help I learned that I could change my attitude regarding what was happening in my workplace and bring about change in myself. I learned to find ways of communicating my needs to my colleagues and my managers so that my stress levels remained manageable and containable. Following each of my counselling sessions with you I found that my self-confidence grew – I discovered a new appreciation of the skills I bring to my job.
The person who came to you for support walked away with head held high, a spring in my step and renewed energy to invest in my work.”

"I now feel more in control of my life and positive about the future and more empowered to take responsibility for myself and my family. The counselling sessions with Dawn helped me see myself more objectively.
Dawn’s skills in drawing someone out and encouraging them to try new things, or see something differently are very helpful when you’re feeling confused or stressed. The opportunity to talk to someone uninvolved about your life, family, stresses is good for everyone, not just people diagnosed with depression and anxiety.”
M. S - Student
“You gave me a chance to really look at my areas of interest and courage to realise my skills and experience and deal with situations I could change and accept those that are not changeable.
In 5 weeks of career counselling I have been able to realise where my skills and abilities should be directed and I can now search for a position that will keep my interest and enthusiasm.. Quite an achievement – only taken a lifetime of procrastination for me.“
